UNIVERSITY - ASBESTOS REPORT - WHY ARE WE HIDING FACTS?

ASBESTOS - UNIVERSTY SITE - TIME TO COME CLEAN!

Time for Council to come clean, release this report to the Community in a clear example that this Council has nothing to hide.. or does it..?

IAN MORRISON - CABOOLTURE

Sir, reference letter Brian Wallace (Cab News 5th August).. it is no surprise that MBRC ‘planning forums’ have been run in the way they have been..

In November 2013 our local State Member, with the  Energy Minister at the time, hosted a forum on Energy costs

Fairly low attendance, but consequent to questions from the floor, decided to host another forum on Water Costs in March 2014, that included our total ratepyter base! A Sellout!

CABOOLTURE DISTRICT ISSUES - MORRISON

Mayor and Unity Water Chairman.

What resulted, to all of their surprise, was an angry and loud debate of over 500 community folk in objection of what they were up to, and demanding answers.

I am a bit of a young bloke, and a rebel in my day, but I have never seen such a group of seriously upset people of the grey haired variety in all my life, yelling out for change and not being listened to..

Result..? State election, Local member gone..!

Obviously Council has not learned this lesson !

To the detriment of our Community - and our upcoming elections.

WEe will not be pushed aside, we actually expect our elected representatives to act for our Community, not for their vested interests. We will look to the upcoming Council elections to get Community members into a position of trust and control, to do what is best for our Community.

Regards

Ian Morrison
