A VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER REPORT - UNITY WATER

To Whom it may Concern - and all ratepayers!

I moved into a property that I purchased in Rothwell on - Friday 10th July.

I absolutely totally agree with remarks about Unitywater.

In 2009 I purchased land in Mango Hill [new Jennings estate]. I owned the land, had no house built on it as I was working full time and  trying to save deposit for house.

2010 developed breast cancer requiring 4 months medical treatment, lost job, had to sell block for less than I paid.

Bills kept coming from Unitywater for water supply, but no usage, not one tap on land.

When I rang Unitywater to explain did not even have a connection - answer was -  "Charge is for water pipe running along the footpath outside your block in readiness for when you have house on block."

What!!!  I was so angry. This is daylight robbery.

Fast Forward to present, when I sold unit in Coolum  and rang Maroochy Council I was told MBC have an extra 50 cents a day charge per toilet.  Approximately extra $45 per quarter to Unitywater.

As a single person paying all utilities, I find I have to be so mean and stingy with both my power and water usage.  So  I can afford to pay the bills.

I'd like to help out in any way I can with this fight against Unitywater...

I've always been interested in politics. and know we have to fight for our rights if we believe in something strongly.

Our vote is our power to fight. L.

This is but one of a thousand examPles of nepotism in mbrc!

YOUR COMMUNITY FIRST WILL FIGHT THIS OPPRESSION!

JIM SOORLEY ESQ. -Chairman - Unity Water

THE UNELECTED CHAIRMAN of UNITY WATER has a lot to say now that UNITY has been positively identified as an ELECTION ISSUE at the March 2016 council elections.

HE IS AN APPOINTED PUBLIC SERVANT.

HIS  CONTRACT IS TO SERVE THE COUNCILS OF SUNSHINE COAST, MORETON BAY AND NOOSA.

HE HAS LIMITED ABILITY TO ENTER INTO POLITICAL DEBATE! THREE MAYORS SHOULD BE MINDFUL OF THIS!

FRASER COAST IS INVOLVED..

TO CLARIFY THE ISSUE -

OUR STATE GOVERNMENT HAS TWICE OFFERED REGIONAL COUNCILS THE OPTION OF RECLAIMING THEIR WATER AND SEWERAGE RESPONSIBILITIES AND DISBANDING UNITY WATER.

TWICE THEY DECLINED - SO THE REGIONAL COUNCILS, NOT MR. SOORLEY,  APPEAR TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE QUALITY AND COST OF OUR WATER AND SEWERAGE SERVICES!

COUNCILS AND PARTICULARLY MORETON BAY HAVE THE POWER TO APPOINT AND SACK DIRECTORS OF UNITY WATER.

READ ON TO LEARN WHY THE PROTOCOL REMAINS!

LAST FINANCIAL YEAR MBRC RECEIVED AN $80+ MILLION DIVIDEND FROM UNITY WATER (RATEPAYERS) - NO EFFORT INVOLVED! NO SEWER WORRIES  - CLEAN CASH!

DESTINATION - DEBT INCREASE? MANIC DEBT CREATION?

COUNCILS ABSORB ALL DECLARED PROFITS  AND HAVE THE POWER TO DIRECT UNITY WATER IN MOST FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS!

COUNCILS CAN FORCE PRICE REDUCTIONS -

DO COUNCILS USE WATER PROFITS AS A BASE FOR GREATER BORROWING?

MBRC SHOULD ARRIVE AT HALF A BILLION DEBT THIS MONTH!

COUNCILS ARE REQUIRED TO INTRODUCE RESTRAINT IN BUDGETTING - OR FACE AN ANGRY ELECTORATE NEXT YEAR.!

RATEPAYERS BUY A HOME OVER TWENTY YEARS - WHY DOES LOCAL GOVERNMENT EXPECT US TO PAY THEIR DEBTS IN ONE TERM? AN IMPOSSIBLE BURDEN?

A NEWLY REGISTERED NON POLITICAL TEAM IS BEING ASSEMBLED TO OFFER SOLUTIONS !

THEY WILL BE DEDICATED TO LISTENING TO YOUR ISSUES!

WATCH FOR UPDATES AS ELECTIONS DRAW CLOSER!
